PERU:

Location: 100 Valleys

Gloria Santos and Esaud Caycho orchestrated appointments with 7 mining companies this week and it appears that the first three week AVANZA PERU program is sold out for 21 Jan, so we opened a second one for 18 Feb. which puts us on a solid financial footing again.  In the process of this national marketing campaign we have discovered several great new colleagues, and also gained confidence in the preparation and acceptance of the ICA methods and staff for tackling the huge 10-year 100 Valleys Project.

A Board meeting took place on Wednesday and board members also had the opportunity to meet the young people who are involved in this campaign.

Susan Mogari, a Board member and volunteer, and John Cornwell, HR co-ordinator, attended a Personal development training weekend called 'More To Life' being run by Kairos Foundation, with whom we are collaborating to develop this training with members of the YFL programme.
