Faire le bilan de l’avancement global de la mise en œuvre des activités et apprécier les progrès réalisés dans chaque composante du projet ;
Apprécier le taux de réalisation des indicateurs du projet ;
Identifier les forces, les faiblesses et les mesures correctives pour améliorer la performance de chaque composante du projet ;

With the option of creating the conditions for empowerment for the future of ICA Côte d'Ivoire, the Executive Directorate undertook projects financed from personal funds in the localities of Brobo and Agboville. The Sainte Sato Preschool Education Center project in Brobo registered the students of its first class for the 2020-2021 school year with an enrollment of 25 children aged 2 to 5, donating 13 girls and 12 boys.

The ICA-CI delegation was represented by Mr. Eugène KOUAME Executive Director of ICA Côte d'Ivoire, Ms. KOUAME born Caroline ABBE Director General of the Sainte Sato Preschool Education Center as well as Mr. N'dri Frédéric Head of Financial Services of ICA-CI.

In her speech, the Director General of the Center welcomed the guests and the parents of the students, explaining to them that the training of children is a priority for the government and the NGO ICA Côte d'Ivoire. Because it is for this reason that she has made every effort with the management of ICA Côte d'Ivoire to open this center for vulnerable or orphaned children who also aspire to a better future through education. The Director took advantage of this moment to offer presents to the preschool educators for the work done in such a short time.

As part of cheering up the students of Sainte Sato, an anticipated Christmas was organized on December 17 at the Preschool Center in the presence of Mr. KOUASSI Gaël, representative of the Regional Director of the Family of Women and Children. He did us the honor to participate in this ceremony and to provide advice to the parents of the students invited for the occasion.

Several games furnished the day with the know-how of children who joyfully made parades of misse, convict (The beautiful boy), dances to local sounds. They also demonstrated their intelligence with the games of the floor chair and the rotating chair.

The arrival of Santa Claus in the room was the perfect opportunity for the children to see Santa Claus in his outfit for the first time. Joy could be read on the faces of the children who received Christmas presents for the first time and moreover from the hands of Santa Claus.

Parents who have enrolled their children at the Preschool Education Center congratulated the Preschool Educators on what in two months their children have learned and are able to practice. Parents could see joy on their faces because in two months their children can express themselves in French and have a taste for school thanks to the Sainte Sato Preschool Education Center. This Sainte Sato Center is one of the empowerment creation projects that the management of Ica Côte d'Ivoire has started to carry out for the future of the office.

Each child received from the hands of Santa Claus a gift to mark his presence at this ceremony which reveals a particular character for him.

Also the second project which is the cultivation of oyster mushroom which produces in 60 days, with this rapid profitability the office tries to ensure these fixed operating costs and thus participate in calls for tenders. ICA Côte d'Ivoire is developing this mushroom cultivation not only for itself, but also to train the beneficiaries who wish to practice mushroom cultivation to have money to contribute to the protection of the environment and to exploit all the organic materials available (sawdust, dried cocoa pod and mole leaves of cocoa trees and dried straws).

Dear colleagues and friends,

I’m delighted to announce the publication of my latest book, MORE THAN HALFWAY TO SOMEWHERE, a collection of 12 stories inspired by my travels to 15 countries.

In it you’ll meet some of the most remarkable people I’ve encountered and share in some of the more challenging moments I’ve faced, many from my time with the ICA. Initial reader responses have been most encouraging. As one person put it:

This is not a travel book. It’s an encounter with life at its depths, lived with an open heart and mind and great sensitivity.

This is my first attempt at self-publishing under the imprint of Wordswallah Publishing. The book is available as a print-on-demand paperback and an e-book from retailers worldwide via the distributor IngramSpark. US residents can obtain signed copies from me if desired.
Details about the book and how to order it are on my new author website www.wordswallah.com, best viewed on desktop, laptop or tablet. Check it out.

Happy reading!
