Our head office staff were busy with the NGO Affairs Bureau and the Social Science Research Council for donation authorization and the terrorism project respectively.

The Dhaka team is restructuring the street children project from July.

The Chandpur team prepared the agreement on the non-judicial stamp with the government regarding the handover of the building to the government, as the shelter project is under the government district administration with approval of ICA for the education for underprivileged children project.

The ICA Bangladesh team is also preparing to welcome Duncan from ICA Canada and hopes to have a one or half day session during his time in Bangladesh in August 2010.

John Miller, Jo Nelson, Duncan Holmes and Jerry Mings taught our 6 day Art and Science of Participation course - full house.

Jo Nelson spent 2 days in Ft St John, BC with Treaty 8. 

Duncan Holmes is beginning work on a project with the Leprosy Mission in Bangaladesh.

We are preparing a new catalogue and creating course scheduling plans for the next year.

Monday, July 26th marked the opening of the Major Groups-Led Initiative in Support of UNFF in Accra, Ghana. The theme of this five-day workshop is “Applying Sustainable Forest Management to Poverty Reduction”.  Michael and Lambert will join Major Group representatives from around the world as they come together to provide input and recommendations for UNFF 9, discuss key issues regarding participation in UNFF, and to begin planning for the International Year of the Forest.
