BANGLADESH:

Location: Dhaka

ICA Bangladesh members shared with each other about the events in Novemebr-Decemebr 2007 sporadically during the Eid vacation in different locations like Dhaka and Chandpur. Those members who could not take part in different meetings were updated and asked to participate in monthly taskforce meetings.

Management and marketing team is working on financial management and Manik, Kabir suggested to appoint Alamgir for daily financial book keeping considering treasurer Sonia's inability to play active role.

Two proposals on Ghoramara are ready and submitted on 30 December at the German Embassy in Dhaka for small scale funding. One is focusing school and another is on water and sanitation facilities in area.In order to prepare a proposal on erosion control in the Ghoramara community, Naznin and Aziz are working. Naznin is suggesting to conduct a topographic survey and collect maps and data.

Aziz is working on newsletter and brochure. If any one interested to contribute to the newsletter he or she can submit articles. Naimul and Alamgir is working on credit and debit slip. Habib is working on improving website.

BENNIN:

Location: North regions of Benin

Lambassa ICA Benin had been committed to conduct pre-consultations with grassroots communities in four regions of the north of Benin by Legal Empowerment, a commission hosted by UNDP.This commission is organizing national consultations in several countries in the World in order to gather more information on poverty issues.

In Benin, these consultations are sheduled for January 2008.So pre-consultations aimed to prepare grassroots communities to participate to this event.Regions covered by ICA Benin are Atacora, Alibori, Borgou and Donga.

NEPAL:

Location: Lalitpur

On Sunday, ICA Nepal started third batch of 'Professional Development Training PCDT which will be continued for 3 months. With this training, the participants will be able to learn new skills on personal and organisational development. So far, 40 participants have received this training and they are active in various organisations.

ICA Nepal also completed 10 day long trianing on Proposal and Report Writing training for the senior level staff of Centre for rural Technology - a national level organisation.
