ICAI:

Location: Montréal

We devoted much of our time this week on follow-ups with all contacts, proposals and funding application that were submitted this year as many of the people will be breaking for the Holidays. These include, Conference,  forest policy, training etc. as well as individual donors.

We continue to receive positive responses for the working gifts program. A total of 12 countries have received some donations with Bangladesh topping the list. Stay tuned with more news on this. I wish to remind you that we are still in the process of collecting for project items. You never know what someone will be excited about.

We are still exploring all possibilities of making the staff training program next year possible. In line with that discussions are on going with anothe organisation here in Canada to support with some logistics. While some have registered, we encourage national ICAs to send female staff as well as we intend to achieve a 50-50 ratio with a greater bias towards women. Individual contributions are also being encouraged to make this training program a memorable launch.
